Material Desire

Sometimes I get crushes on objects. Usually it's only one or two things at a time. Most of the time I dismiss these longings. But deep down I know we are meant to be together, me and the thing in question. Sometimes the longings won't go away, especially if I keep seeing the thing. It doesn't really work to wait for it to go on sale, because by then others who have glimpsed its wonderful nature have snapped up all the ones in my size, or that exist.

Last week it was a small aqua bar from the 50's with gold stars on it and two matching stools. I wanted it so bad. Now it's sold. (It was only $120, insanely cheap for such a glorious thing, yet too expensive for me.)

This is why I need a patron who knows about my incredible taste and eye for such things, who can finance my purchases with a very low-interest loan until I am rich, or perhaps forever. A person who wants to see the beautiful, best objects of the world appreciated, and is willing to back this up in cash. A person who can come over and hang out with my cool aqua bar WHENEVER THEY WANT. I will make them cocktails forever in gratitude.
