The Recap

Here are all the things I planned to do this weekend:
Placebo Sunrise party
Rubulad
Chengwin Wedding
Flux Art Opening (not far from that MOMA QNS, everyone who went should have come to us too)
Chengwin Reception
Germany-Brazil Game
The Meadowlands Fair

Of course, this all derailed because after Rubulad, instead of going to bed, I went to Coney Island. I tried so hard to continue my itinerary, but the only thing I could muster post-beach was the Wedding (because it was on the way home) and the Art Opening (because it was at my house.) Actually, I got shanghaied out of bed last night to go hand out fliers at MOMA QNS and then to check out Brazilian bars for game-watching in that bizarre one-block of Manhattan known as Little Brazil.

I had my first bike ride of the summer too.

By the end of last night -- coming up on forty hours of no sleep -- I was running around, invincible, talking really fast. This is a good condition to be handing out fliers to strangers in -- something I am normally bad at because I get too self-conscious. I'd forgotten that who cares what strangers think about you?

Bookcrossing.com is amazing and almost makes me feel better about humanity.

I've spent the entire day alone and having to re-teach myself how to handle it. Spending time with people is my big addiction -- it takes me out of myself and lets me avoid the feeling that I'm supposed to be accomplishing something.
