Emily and I are in a tizzy. We are going over to look around and imagine and divvy up the bedrooms soon. I want to paint!
It is a very old little building (3 floors, 3 railroad apartments) which my friend has lived in for 6 years. He and his wife are moving upstairs and we are going to have a very happy household. They have two medium-sized dogs for me to hug up on.
It has great old moldings and a tiny tiled bathroom. We're making the living room the front bedroom and I will probably take the smaller back bedroom.
It will be the first place I've lived in NYC that has CLOSETS. Also the first place with no laundry in the building.
I love my current house for its weird courtyard/villa setup and stage and other gorgeousnesses. But the new place is going to be mine, mostly mine.
