The Turkey's Nest is now serving dark & stormies on special. Two great tastes that taste great, etc.

This morning I interviewed for a job I really don't want, to the tune of 40 hours a week at 9 am and as my old boss would say, "tiny money." My problem is I don't know how to say no to these people. It's just so nice to be wanted. Also, how do you answer this question: "So why do you want this position answering the phone and receiving packages?"

1) Honestly: for the health benefits and because I know I won't do it for more than 4 months
2) A big lie: because I like interacting with people! And being part of a team.

Hahaha. Interviews kill me. Esp. second interviews. I took no less than 3 suitcases out of storage at 8 am this morning looking for an outfit that will cover my tattoos, has no obvious holes, matches, and doesn't say something like "Corona Ice King" or have dinosaurs on it.

I was secretly hoping to go to the Southern Culture on the Skids show tonight (which would not be as good b/c they were just opening for Rev. Horton Heat) but it's sold out.

Guess I will go home and do math problems instead.

Also tonight is Phat Mandee at the Gershwin Hotel! So if you are in NYC go see this John Waters-esque freak circus jazz diva at 8. She is extraordinary and there's nothing better going on tonight, I can guarantee. I would so be there if not for the working.
