Comics maze
May. 24th, 2004 04:46 pmFlux has invited 10 artists to make a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure comics maze this summer in their performance space.
I'm looking for sponsors to help cover costs of materials and hopefully recompense the artists to some degree. We're holding several events (openings and closings) in cooperation with MOCCA. I'm contacting Brooklyn Brewery, who we've worked with before, and who have a great track record for supporting local art events. Do you guys know of any other companies who tend to sponsor art events? I know Stella Artois does fairly often. If you can think of something and especially if you have a contact there, I'd love to hear about it. Liquor brands, products, any company who would want to get their name out to um, you know, young intellectual/professionals/comic book guys.
If you can think of something special, something interactive or anything that would contribute to making the openings better as an event, I'd like to hear about it too. We're thinking of having some of the artists on hand to do quick sketches of people, for example.
