Olive is an abandoned dog I found on the streets of Bushwick. She was tied to a dangerously short lead to the point where she could barely move, having to endure the hot sun brutalizing her and surrounded by garbage. Her abandonment is perplexing as she is a truly remarkable dog. Literally everyone that has encountered her remarks on what an amazing dog she is.

Healthy, happy, well adjusted with a gentle disposition and calm nature. Short haired and medium in size. Mixed breed and about 2 years old. Bursting with love and affection.

Enjoys the company of people big and small (very good and patient with children) and other dogs.

I unfortunately cannot keep her due to the nature of my living situation. Thus, (as least) a foster home is urgently needed until a loving permanent home can be found. Offering three months of financial care (vet, food, etc.) to individuals interested in either fostering or adopting Olive. I am also willing to transport her anywhere.

I've been in touch with several rescue organizations and no-kill shelters, but no one is able to offer any help.

islands and bridges.jpg, originally uploaded by Reversible Skirt.

coming back from new orleans my plane swooped in low, circling NYC, coming up from Coney Island (I saw the parachute jump!), and lower Manhattan, all the bridges in succession, then the great greenness of Central Park. So detailed, every building shining. Like the panorama at the Queens Museum, but a thousand times better in real life, and the plane was tipping so that I was actually tilted over toward the window, it was scary how low we flew. Best homecoming ever. I think on past trips it's always been too foggy or dark for such a gorgeous display.
