Cabin craft sale
Dec. 2nd, 2006 02:20 pmToday in Williamsburg, at the old Flux building (210 Kent at Metropolitan) some really nice girls are having an art/craft sale in a cute fabric cabin they made themselves.
Mims and I went by super early and I talked him into snapping up two great hand-thrown ceramic bowls, one with an eagley-kind of bird and bird tracks all over, and one with a smiling octopus with long tentacles -- $25 each! A total steal. I failed to talk him into the hanging couch which is woven out of vintage fabric - a couch I have been dreaming of since childhood. Or the rhino-shaped rug.
There is also an amazing circus fabric garter belt that I want but it's out of my price range (like everything over $20).
I was sad that I've done the majority of my Xmas shopping because there were so many cute and affordable things. Plus they are giving out cider and homemade cookies! Go pay them a visit. 2-8p today, entrance is on the back of the building on the river side.
