I have not been able to sleep properly since Wednesday. Those of you who have stayed up for 72 hours know where I am right now.

I got home at 6:30 a.m. (after working 7 straight hours bartending at Rubulad) and laid in bed listening to my heart beat rapidly and fearing the sunrise that will fill my room with bright light and destroy any remote chance of resting.

I napped shallowly for about four hours and got up to take more Sudafed and drink coffee (in order to be able to breathe, and to avoid nasty headache).

This goes on from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. every day. The benefits of being a speed freak include that I no longer really need to eat, also, and that I get a lot more done in my day. The downside includes that I am afraid I will never sleep again, and dizzy moments, and wondering when your body gives out from this kind of thing.

My mom has bad allergies and has been taking Sudafed for years, explaining much of her erratic behavior, and now she has a heart murmur.
