Jen read her speech last night at Flux and did so good. It was extra funny. She finished it and I was like "That's my best friend" because I was proud.

Then we got Mexican food and she tried to put her fingers in my plate because she didn't get a fork.

My housemates and I might get a kitten. We're going to look at it soon. This is great. Also I might watch Gone with the Wind with the aforementioned Jen and make some earrings today.

Last night I had a brainstorm to make a website to sell my stuff on, both the things I make and the things I have to get rid of. Ebay takes too long. Now I'm going to go look up domain names. I'm going to be a e-commerce entrepreneur!

As far as what you make, do you make a little bit of everything or mainly jewelry? And how do you make jewelry?

I make mostly the first halves of scarves, necklaces, skirts...

I am a novice knitter and crocheter. I've been making beaded necklaces (on a loom even!) since I was like, 12. But I quit making them until I think of a way to make them look cool (I had a revelation about this today concerning KNOTTED THREAD.) I used to be a whiz at hemp necklaces (also quit as soon as I realized they were lame, approx. age 17). Hopefully one day I can use this skill to make a macrame owl.

What else. My favorite is using broken old jewelry to make new things. Recently I have been making decent-looking chain dangle earrings. I will post photos when I get off my ass.

I have this habit of seeing things and saying "I could so make that!" and then going out and spending about four times the cost of the thing getting all the parts and then missing one part and never making it. Or starting it and it coming out crooked and then I abandon it.
