Dude! Shit is going crazy over at friendster. It's like "you have two friends." Then it's like "Your personal network is 1187"!!!

This thing is exploding. However, I can't quite figure out how it works (when you send a message, where does it go? email or bulletin board?)

Also, people on it are cute so far.

Ay-yi. This thing called friendster.com. You have to get somebody who already is on it to send you an invite to join.

It's basically a network of profiles, and you list your friends, and then you can see their friends that they have listed, with a bulletin board. And a weird personalsy tone.

I will send you the email if you want (if you send me your email address). There are already some dorkheads on there with like 200 "friends" listed.

how is it better than livejournal?

Oh, it's definitely not. It's like livejournal, but much more limited, with a bulletin board instead of journals, and more obvious dating intentions.

If you work it the right way, in a weird Internet don't-really-know-you kind of way, yes.

You can go to friendster and enter the code "coke" and that should work.

Jonathan (http://www.friendster.com/info/tour.jsp) looks like a real fuckhead. No friendster for me.

Ah-ha. Now that's what I call a friend.

Yeah, I can't tell if it's going to be any fun or just another thing to check. It would be funner with a smaller net of connections, for sure. People are already too connected.

That's a good question. You could ask my friend Clide (magpiecreature@hotmail.com), she lives there and lives in a loft and knows people who also do...

What do you mean, "walk outside and talk to people"? Is that some kind of blogging service I don't know about, or an invitation only chat room?

six degrees are a lot. perhaps too many. actually, remove that 'perhaps'.
