Saturday night at CB's I saw this great guy Cory McAbee who makes up songs. If you ever have a chance to see the Billy Nayer Show (his band) or him play, you should go.

Also I might be hosting the next incarnation of the slot car races at my house. Since I am the reigning champion, if I lose while defending my title, everybody has to go home or I will cry and throw things.

We need a new roommate June 15th. $600, rock-bottom for this neighborhood, and a sweet pad as well. No bad people please.

Today is amazing out. I am going to:
Fucking start pasting up tissue paper in the windows
Finally make some jewelry with the latest supplies I got (blue stars)
Hula Hoop?
Take a shower
all before five p.m.

Yesterday the bike rodeo WAS SO GREAT. Like a big family barbecue, if you were really into your family and they were cute nice freaky people dressed in tattered circus outfits slamming tall bikes into each other and drinking Pabst.

Photos tk.

Oooo. More details on the "roommate in need" thing. I know an awesome person who is looking for a place around that time/price.

It's a small/medium room (big enough for a queen bed & some other stuff).
Pros: location (N. 6th b/w Berry & Wythe)
large loft w/roof access, free laundry, stage.
Cons: the room is right next to the kitchen and looks out on the main area. But 80% of the time none of us are even home, so it's not too bad. Also we all share one bathroom.

We also have a little cat.

If your friend wants to come see the place, give them my email: alitaforever@yahoo.com.

what does it mean that the bedroom "looks out onto the main area?"

Is there no door?

It has windows that look out. We have a kind of duplex, Smurf Village thing going on.

Nah dude. That girl's bad news. She eats all your food and borrows all your stuff.

Maybe my house can become the Flux Graduate Housing Facility.

There is no-smoking-inside, but we have a really nice roof porch he could use for it.

You guys haven't been over yet, have you? We will have to arrange something.

Start pasting tissue paper up in the windows?

Is this in neat shapes or just sheets? Is it just for pretty or does it serve as shade? Or both?

Cut into shapes. Mostly for a stained-glass effect, hopefully some shade too. Learned from my friend at the Rainbow Castle outside of Pittsburgh (I don't have a link offhand, but it's an amazing house.)

That's kind of what I figured. In an art class I once took, we had an entire wall of windows, and we made neat "stained glass" things out of black construction paper cut with great detail by exacto knives and then pasted with bits of tissue paper. Fun stuff!
