Go see Spellbound, the documentary about kids in the spelling bee. It is GREAT. People were cheering and booing in the theater. It shows little nerdy-ass kids who are hysterical and pushy parents and weird parents. It made me 80% happier than the Matrix Reloaded did.

I am dying to see it. Just the trailer is terrific; I made some friends of mine watch it online after reading a review-they were skeptical, to say the least-until they saw how good it looked!

It's amazing how compelling real life can be-and how much more entertaining. I think sometimes I could be happy watching only great documentaries. : )

Devin and I were going crazy over the ad for it in the newspaper film section. Those kids look so perfect!

have you seen "hands on a hard body"?

it sounds like a really bad softcore porn film, but it's a documentary about one of those contests where you win a car by keeping your hand on it longer than anyone else. it's set in texas. the people in it are freaky and amazing. it made me very happy.
