So, why do I subject myself to it (working at parties), if I just get annoyed and disenchanted every time?

Because I want them to happen. I like seeing the people I know (excluding the crappy ones who have tried to rip off my friends etc.) and meeting new good people.

I would still rather be there than nearly anywhere else. Except maybe the drive-in.

Ugh. Really. He and his three hippie friends were literally like "We're going to do a live video feed, yeah dude." And I was like "You're not on the list, go stand over there."

Thanks. I have a lot of rules about it. I don't like when places discriminate on whether people are cute enough or dressed right or whatever, like Studio 54 style. But I also get mad when people act like they're entitled to special treatment.
