Today I rented Sex and the City episodes and painted my toenails and shaved my legs. I know, I know. I haven't shaved my legs since I was like, 13 and really excited to be allowed to. At 15 or so I quit shaving, at 19 started waxing, and now at 23 have finally gone back to the dark side.

I walked by the Bryant Park movie Monday and was astonished at the unbroken sea of people-heads across the field. One day I am installing friends w/blanket there early.

Also, the other night I went to Hank's Saloon on Atlantic Ave. Holy shit. It is basically a weird cowboy-punk outpost. It feels like the bar in Star Wars or something. There was a good band with a cute girl fiddler and cool old guy with sheriff star.

Did waxing your legs hurt like hell, or was it totally worth it? I hate shaving and I keep toying with the idea of waxing, but can't decide.

It hurts the first time but it's totally worth it and fine. And you never cut yourself. And it lasts a lot longer. But sometimes you miss a spot.

i've seen you post on several of my friends journals.

I have a friend who used to tend bar at Hank's. I saw a few interesting bands there. I think it was the Blind Pharoah's that played there regularly.

I also intended to watch a movie in Bryant Park while I lived there, but I could never get near the place.
