I didn't know what stop to put myself on, as I'm equidistant from 4 different lines. But the G is definitely the toughest of those, with the 7 coming in a close second, with extra points for above-groundity and killer views.
Yeah the G is definitely tough, because it doens't even go to Manhattan, making it a total fucking hardass train. It fearlessly roams the wastelands of Queens and Brooklyn. No fancy pants commuters here, palley.
I guess I prefer the 7 because of the elevation thing, and because it still goes to the 'deuce,' which is in no way a good thing anymore, but once was. So for me the 7 gets the nod, for nostalgia.
Although you live near an R, right? If you do, that's my pick, because it's slow and goes all the way from the end of Queens to the end of Brooklyn, bay fucking ridge. Did you know that I smoked pot with a stranger on an R train platform one Christmas morning in the early eighties? Well I did. R train rocks.
It's about to get a lot better because I'm helping the circus build a sideshow/history of Times Square museum/bar/theater on 42nd b/w 6th & Broadway. I'll be building exhibits, selling tickets & drinks and rollerskating around a mere three doors down from the evil Conde Nast empire where I toiled only two summers ago. This will all be good.
I'm sure of it. Right now, do you know any businesses around there (restaurants, companies, whatever) that could be convinced to buy an ad in the program?
offhand I dont... but if you give me the info I can ask about. Ide also love to help with any painting.... um.. or general acting sillyness.... just ask. -A
I will keep you posted. We will probably need building help in July/August and help ushering/box office starting in August. Also there's lots of opportunities to perform from open mic to full-on shows if you know anyone or want to put something together...
Because I've been using it the most often lately. Plus, since the Metrocard has taken over, you can get in a block closer to my house, making it only a tiny bit farther than Spring st, which I didn't choose because 1) it's a fucking local stop and 2) soho sucks my balls.
