labrujahEmily and I took home our new kitten today. He is 4 months old (= tiny-sized) and tuxedo-style. I thought we should call him Magician and we put him in the bathroom to get used to the new house, and ten minutes later he'd disappeared, like Houdini.
We freaked out quietly for a minute and then realized he'd climbed INTO the heat register, which has some broken slats, but the hole looks way too small for any kittens to get into. Not so. He was psyched to be in there but came out readily for petting, which he is a sucker for. Then we blocked it up.
Which is why I spent an hour sitting on the bathroom floor reading today.
