Aug. 29th, 2003 06:52 pmOk, pysch, I don't think there will actually be a barbecue at the bar Saturday. But if anybody wants to come by and sit in the backyard with me, that's cool. I'm bringing dominoes.
Also, I just realized, this month has been the longest month ever. It's been August forever. I can't believe I just moved into my new place at the beginning of August, because I've lived there forever it seems like now.
Last night I went to see a play my friends put on called Being Richard Foreman, about Richard Foreman and Vasco de Gama in an airport waiting lounge with a chorus of 3 hot stewardesses. It was not bad, although not my cup of tea. A little boy came with his parents and fell asleep in the middle of the front row and snored. I think it lent the play a whole other dimension.
Before that I went to a fancy restaurant where my friend is dating the maitre d, and had a mango margarita (not as good as the ones I make at home) and a crazy basil-infused cream with praline thing.
Every day I have like three bags, one handbag and two shopping bags full of stuff I have acquired or library books. I am a bag lady.
Today I magically fixed my stereo which was playing no CDs and got my computer to start again. I felt like they came around by my sheer force of will. Because there is no rhyme or reason for them breaking or working again.
