Sep. 11th, 2003 06:54 pmToday I took a bath by heating water on the stove like in Little House on the Prairie. Lots of running back and forth between the kitchen and bathroom, over the stereo cord, carrying large hot pots. Who needs to go camping to get back to nature?
Last night at 1 am in the 6th Ave. L, as I patiently waited for the train, two Cuban guys came over to me. The green-eyed one struck up a conversation while the other guy stared shyly at the tracks, holding a little tambourine. They wanted to know what kind of music I liked, what my name was, and if my boyfriend took good care of me. They played As Tears Go By and Guantanamera, and another Cuban song. It was awesome. I don't know what it is about NY in the fall but it makes me feel like Holly Golightly.
