The bath is becoming a painstaking ritual. Two teapots and one spaghetti pot of very hot water + running the tap equals a semi-warm, semi-full afternoon bath. Two candles, why not, since it takes at least twenty minutes for all the water to heat. No wonder people never got bored in olden days. It took forever to do anything.

After a little talk with [livejournal.com profile] man_size, I think I've figured out that not being productive is only bad when you think it's bad. That is, some people think it's ok to take a day off (or two months off) and lie in bed with magazines. If I'm going to do it, I might as well enjoy it. Taking away the guilt makes me more excited to accomplish things too.

I keep reaching milestones in my life when I think I will never have to do an algebra problem again, and then they keep making me do them. The last time was the SATs. This time I have a GRE in two weeks.

Our hot water is all messed up and primitive. The plumber keeps not coming for like three months.

Why do you have to do Algebra, my dear? Wouldn't you do a psych GRE? Is there algebra in psych?

And did I miss something? Why are we all Little House in the Prarie with the water?

Is this too many questions?

I don't know what specialized GRE to take, probably English Lit which I am terrified of since I haven't taken English since high school. But I am taking the general GRE, which is pretty much a glorified SAT, and covers analogies, logic problems, a writing section, algebra, geometry, multiplying fractions and all that sucky stuff.

Oooh, so much good luck with the GRE being sent your way! It's such a relief when it's over.

Good luck with the GRE, duder. What were you doing on Sunday? I was in the loudest restaurant in the world. All I heard was "Coney Island motorcycle show".

[livejournal.com profile] man_size... I gotta meet that fucker.

I think you guys would be into each other. I didn't make it to the motorcycle show, only to the park with the newspaper.

I looked at Harvey Pekar's weblog, and some of the art on it was by [livejournal.com profile] man_size.
