Last night I got up in the dark when it was pounding down rain and finished the mocha almond fudge ice cream and read half the latest Harry Potter book in the middle of the night. And that is the best.

At the library I was all "Oh this is such a long book I will just get this one for the week" forgetting that it reads really fast (being for children and all) and that I also like to read them all the way through without sleeping or doing anything like all the stuff I have to do.

I haven't gotten into the Lemony Snicket ones yet although they look good. I am simultaneously putting myself through a run of old New York society books i.e. Henry James and Edith Wharton.

I had to huddle on the couch with candles so my friend could keep sleeping, as she has a morning job unlike lucky me.

Yes. Tonight I was like "I should call my good old friend who I haven't seen in years to watch a movie or take a walk -- OR I could just go home and read the book some more all by myself.
