Taking all my sheets and blankets to the laundromat AGAIN, after doing it Tuesday, because the cat peed on them AGAIN.

He's banned from both bedrooms now. And it's sad because his favorite thing and mine too is to curl up and sleep with me in my bed. But he fucked it up.

maybe you should buy a rubber sheet.

My roommate had to throw her mattress away because he peed on it like a hundred times!

It didn't really get through, but I use this stuff called Nature's Miracle which most cat owners swear by.

Awww, the poor thing, perhaps he is upset, sick?

I don't think so -- we think it's a territorial thing, although there are no other cats around. He uses his box most of the time, but for some reason won't stop peeing on my roommate's or my bed.

It might be a UTI, but the vet said it's probably just a behavioral thing.

my cat does that too... well, did. it's hit and miss. and disguisting. also pissed in my laundry. if i keep the bed made she doesnt really do it. but if it's not made she is more prone to pissing

It's the opposite here! He's never peed on a messy bed, only when it's freshly made, which makes it even worse.

is it a boy cat? they're more prone to peeing on stuff. if he isn't ill, he is feeling neglected. it's probably all in his head, though.

Yeah. He's a boy -- the vet said to set up a second litterbox, which is funny when you see how small our house is. But I guess he likes to have a choice or something.

boy cats are just like that sometimes. it's the spraying instinct. some girl cats do it too though. that's why i generally get girls, since they are less inclined to mark their territory. but boys are so cute and dopey!

I have found Nature's Miracle to be mostly useless.

I'm sending you an email with our pee-fighting secrets. I tried to post here, but it's too long-winded and LJ won't let me.

If anyone wants to know what we know, drop me a line or comment in my journal and I'll share the wealth. All kitties should be sleeping with their people, pee-free.

Thanks for the awesome expert testimony. I'm getting ahold of the stuff right away. Emily and I are psyched for the video.
