Oct. 25th, 2003 03:43 pmLast night I went out for a birthday drink with my friend Kate, who's just been offered a position with the huge international bank she works at in London for a year.
She's excited but is a little apprehensive -- she knows that by the time she gets back, her roommate will probably have given up their place to move in with her boyfriend, and some of her friends from home will have left New York for good.
Still though, how perfect is that? To be given a pass, a year-long experiment of you.
