Dec. 5th, 2002 09:40 amYesterday I didn't post at all because I spent half the day knocked out on Nyquil and the other half catching up.
I'm deeply sick and trying simultaneously to baby myself while still doing the 800 things I suddenly have to do.
Me and some ladies went to Beauty Bar last night and got manicures from a cute girl I used to see on the L train all the time. She stabbed at my fingertips with savage instruments, but it is all worth it. Plus you get a handrub with lotion. I was embarrassed and couldn't look her in the eye, it was so good. Mmm.
Then I proceeded to a birthday dinner at this heinous new restaurant in Williamsburg, Sea. (And what is the point of eating out when you can't taste anything?) The place is hysterical, like dining in a corny vision of the future, in L.A. There are bathroom pods with a little video screen of outside the front door (i.e. empty street). And the staff have to wear pashminas and hippie cotton shirts.
Amarin and Planet Thai still win over this place, if only because they don't make you feel like a jerk just for being in there.
