Absolutely Freezing

I now have a choice of 1. freezing w/ no heat in my office or 2. turning on the little space heater which directly contributed to making me get a cold yesterday.

The other contributor is my boss who insists on coming in, then tells me she has a cold.

I am feeling quite run down and I want to go home. Except that home is ridiculous. The bedrooms on the outside last night were literally about 45 degrees. I want to go to somebody else's home.

But I have a interview to become an Ebay trading assistant (!) this evening. So I will be soldiering on...

(no subject)

This is kind of big news and I forgot to say anything about it!

The agency I work for is bringing in another agent who is just starting out in January. She's probably 25 or so, seems nice.

I won't be working for her since I already have two bosses and plenty to do. She will do her own stuff, and have an intern!

This means: two more people in the office (there are only three now.)
And maybe that I won't be getting as much of a raise as I wanted, because they have to pay this agent a salary too!

This could be good -- I might have a pal to have lunch with, or something. Or it could be a weird kissing-up competition. I'm very bad at being ambitious at jobs. My last job I slacked a lot, and the guy that took it over from me just left it to become editor of US magazine!

Must go file now. Maintain appearance of diligence.
