I went to a new dentist in Miami the other day, and the hygienist (is that spelled right?) cleaned my teeth for, like, 6 minutes. "Is that it!?" I asked. When she said yep, I was done, I pointed out that NY dentists usually have me in the chair for far longer. She smilingly assured me that my dental hygiene is so fine, there was no need for her to work longer on my teeth. I'd never encountered this before. THEN, the dentist came in for the final check, told me I had to have my wisdom teeth out, and, in chatty conversation, said "fuck" twice in the space of 60 seconds. It's weird down here in Miami.
