I am reading the Hours by Michael Cunningham right now and it's much better than the movie. I read somewhere that Pedro Almodovar wanted to make the movie and even puts The Hours on one of his character's nightstands (maybe in Talk to Her?) as a little signal. So, while reading the book I can't help but see the movie as it was made, and then try to imagine how Almodovar would have done it. I wish he could just make another one. I would go see it.
