You have no idea. This is literally about a fifth of the pile I have to get rid of. Not the total wardrobe, just the get-rid-of pile! With my current under-employment I hope to get it all listed and sold or worst case, dropped at Sal. Army by the end of April.
I have to blame some of it on my mom. She sends me huge boxes of clothes I hate every couple months, and I simmer in rage because I can't afford to go to a dentist, and here she is blowing hundreds of dollars on ugly clothes for me. And they don't resell for much, unfortunately.
But um, the rest of it is my fault. I've been much better lately.
Why are you getting rid of the boots, btw? I bought a pair at the Spatial Etc. sale this weekend (pink flowers). I'm glad to see that you're listing them for way more than what I paid for mine.
Well, I decadently own two pairs! My other pair is size 37 which is really better for me, and blue and the same but with little heels.
Flat just wasn't doing it for me, and I wasn't wearing them much. I do like them a lot though.
How much were yours can I ask? I bought my blue pair with a sizeable employee discount at Spatial for about $150 (which is actually their at-cost price), and the black ones I bought on Ebay for $200.
They were $80. I guess they were just trying to move merchandise. They also had the black ones with rivets for $80. I now own two pairs as well (the others are black with pointy toes and elastic closures up the back -- i got them at an end of the season sale last year, but i think i still payed close to $200 (maybe $180) for them).
You should go by Saturday morning. The sale was supposed to be only last weekend, but I was there Sunday around 5:30, and there was still merchandise, so they might do it again this weekend. I forget which sized were left on the rivet ones (they were all smaller than 38.5, which is my size), but they had about 4 pairs left. 98 S 6th between Bedford and Berry.
Oh believe me yes. When I do, she goes into the if-only-you'd-get-a-high-paying-job spiel. She probably thinks that if I'm deprived of dental care long enough, I will give up and become an opthamologist, lawyer, broadcast news anchor or psychiatrist like she dreams about.
looks like a hard days work to me! i recently sold most of my dvds on ebay. the next week i was frantically looking around the apartment for anything else i could hock... gets addicting. plus its fun to downsize your life. long live ebay!
