storm's a-comin'
Jun. 21st, 2002 08:52 pmMy calves feel like there are small sharp knives inside and when I move they jab me. I think this might be a result of my all-flip-flops, all the time habit.
I had terrible shin splints for three years in high school from near-daily ballet classes and a Twinkies & peanut butter vegetarian diet. Also I'd often wake up at night with paralyzing leg cramps and have to walk them out, alternately whimpering and freezing up and trying to make myself relax knowing that was the only way to end them.
As soon as I quit the ballet, my tendons healed themselves. The motto of this story is: don't work hard at anything. You'll just injure yourself.
