Update: I booked 'em for $250 through America West. Yeah dude! [livejournal.com profile] vespagrrrl, I owe you a drink.

Hi, I forgot to save my entry about where to get cheap plane tickets. And I post too much so it's lost in the ether. If you guys tell me again, I will SAVE it this time.

I'm looking at a round trip of $330 to fly from NY to SF and I have somewhat definite times I have to come and go (leaving Fri nite or Sat. am August 28, returning Monday Sept 6 late afternoon or night). On Jetblue with no connections, which is almost worth it instead of Airtran, which is always, always a nightmare of missed connections and overbooking and sitting right by the humming, scary engine. But $330? That's too much I think.

jetblue often has sales of $99 each way from NY to the west coast. maybe sign up for their e-mail and wait for an announcement?

Yeah, that's more like what I was expecting to find.

Hey there...

I have always used www.travelocity.com or www.expedia.com to book flights.

I checked travelocity, and found several flights leaving in the PM of the 27th or AM of the 28th ranging in price from $230 - $301 (depending on departure times and whether it was non-stop or not).

Hope that helps!

You are so sweet to look! Those sites usually seem to have similar deals, and better than Orbitz, I think.

The SF airport, ideally, but Oakland is acceptable too. I thought it was going to be cheap! Sigh.

Yeah, for sure! I think I am staying with my friend Chicken, but I don't know if he will have time to show me around or just set me on a stool in his bar or what. It would be fun to meet you guys finally.

What about Orbitz? Or possibly call STA Travel, they're usually very, very cheap.
