Ok on a different note:

Guys, yesterday I walked by the 15 Falun Gong people who clog the very busy Herald Square sidewalks at rush hour, and guess what? They have a friggin OVERSIZED FLAT SCREEN TV playing a slickly produced DVD about their troubles.

Come on people. I was not going to give them any money anyway, but definitely not when they have a TV way nicer than I could ever, ever afford (if I even wanted one). They're showing their hand a bit, huh? Like, we're a cult but we're so arrogant, we can show you our giant tv and STILL beg you for money!

they have many. i went on a rant about this yesterday to kittymalicious at lunch. if they have flat screens, that means they have plenty of money, that means they're a cult, that means it's not just religious persecution (okay i made broad generalizations here)

do they ask for money? i didn't realize. i thought they just wanted to get their message out. what exactly am i going to do for the falun gong when i can't even get the president i want elected.
