a Commemorative Reenactment of the Battle of the IronClads
Brooklyn's USS Monitor -vs- the Merrimac (aka Confederate raised USS Virginia) with a grand finale demonstrating the futile struggle of war in the realm of Nature.
This Program Features
*Music by the Hungry March Band
*Ships & Performance by members of the Madagascar Institute
with A Special Guest Performance by the "Waves"
-Be a Wave! Make a wave with a stream of glamorous blue fabric on a pole, bring a squirt gun, a bucket of water, Dress in blue. Use your imagination and become the Sea.
-PLEASE Bring tea & biscuits and anything (ice cream?) that you might wish to share at this gathering
-Dress in some outlandish summer costume with a huge hat, a gown, a bow tie. This is the event to wear "that" outfit. Think Turn of Century Victorian Futuristic Space Tea party.
