I just got an email plea from the Madagascar Institute who are building an art truck in Reno. They need people to come out and help -- unfortunately I can't weld or use power tools, but I am good at stapling fabric onto things.

so that means a free ticket...but they need people really soon, like the 19-23rd, which eliminates my "only there for five days so as not to get cranky and dirty" plan.

well admission wasn't really going to be a big issue...are the madagascar institute people driving there? it seems like it might be (otherwise) expensive getting there and back.
but all in all, i think it is an undisguised blessing, an open door, the go ahead.
