Okay. I am willing to admit it might be ash from a nearby chimney. But
1) I have never seen it out there before
2) It really looks like snow, all dancey and white
3) Just earlier I was standing outside thinking "It feels like snow today."

Maybe it is only high up and is melting mid-air?

I looked out the window for like two minutes straight and saw, alarmingly, no snow. Except for one flake going sideways at a leisurely pace.
