Just put on the Moonlighters' new album, Hello Heartstring. It's absolutely the best if you are a fan of dark ukulele songs and Hawaiian lap steel as I am. They are a great band fronted by Bliss Blood, vintage style icon and with Henry Bogdan of Helmet on the lap steel. They have a new project called Cantonement that plays around in NYC. They make me feel like I'm in a speakeasy.

They are my idols.

I ran into some friends from back home (SC) who used to have a ragtime blues band, and now one of them has started a ukelele band called the Hula Cats. I don't think they have an album yet, but they're pretty great too. I think this genre might be my favorite of all.

I clicked on your link, and nearly fell out of my chair with giggles because just below the CD info was an Amazon list saying that people who listened to this CD also wore the following items -- and the first item on the list was "Clean Underwear"! I'm so relieved to know that so many people are maintaining sanitary laundry habits.
