do you have a hot water bottle? put it on your belly or feet! they work wonders, and I know that sounds so old woman and weird but I live for hot water bottles in wintertime. I have bad circulation.

I am going to get one. I got a heating pad and it saves me from freezing in my bed at night, although I am afraid I will get cancer or burns from sleeping on it.

But right now I am at work! I guess I could run back and forth in the hallway.

Hey, since you've got a sewing machine, you should try making your own warmer. Take a soft heavy material, like fleece or terry and fill it about 3/4 with field corn or rice (I prefer the rice) and sew it shut. You can make a small one (my sister once did this with a men's tube sock), i.e. for neck warmer or the like, or a big one, whatever floats your boat. I made mine when I was in physical therapy -- it's about the size of a pillow (but less than an inch thick) so that I could drape it all the way from neck to butt and it's ribbed in one inch sections to make it easier to handle. Anyway, heat this in the microwave and it stays warm for a really long time. If you're afraid of burning up on the heating pad, I would really recommend a big one for night time, and maybe you could make a small one to tuck away at work and put at your feet if you had access to a microwave. I fold my big one in half to fit in the microwave, then heat 3 minutes on each side (for 12 minutes total), and put in my bed. It keeps me toasty warm long after I fall asleep.

oh my god
