As you may have noticed if you were in attendance ([livejournal.com profile] bluesiren & Mandroid! The elusive [livejournal.com profile] larrondo & [livejournal.com profile] pivovision!) the party got shut down early. What a shame as I was kickin' it bartending (picture me stumbling drunkenly between a large trashcan full of PBR and ice, and a bucket full of wet single dollar bills. There you go.) and barely got to see the fabulous entertainment. Phat Mandee is incredible.

It gave me a feeling I hadn't had in a long time, even at the Hurting. It was exciting in a new and different way, like "Look what we do, people, this is called a PARTY." I was proud and happy to talk to some new people and be out of the house and wearing a dumb costume.

I enjoyed some Top Ramen, too.

The big thing is that it's really freakin' hard to find a place like that to hold a party now. Even last year at this time there were some spots to choose from. But this year there's only one regular place that's available -- to do it anywhere else, you need weeks of negotiation, deposits, licenses -- and then you still get busted in four hours!

It's so frustrating -- so much work, thwarted.

I'm not looking forward to the day when we have a choice of Twilo or Webster Hall, guys.

me either, except it's really a choice of one, cause Twilo is gone already. oh well....looks like we'll HAVE to be mature like and get a good nights sleep so we can go to our jobs, to earn our income to pay or taxes to get the city out of a debt build up by a republican who would love to run for president, on the back of his heroism. or am I ranting? but you were a cute miss world......

Thanks.
See, I didn't even know Twilo was gone.
I hate clubs.

you looked adorable and it was super fun. i think it is amazing what you guys pulled off. i have thrown two semi-big parties in my life, nothing even close to that scale, and it was so hard, so much planning, but totally worth it both times.

what was the cops' beef if you have licenses, etc?

I think it's mostly about the sound. If you are making noise and the neighbors complain, you have to end it (unless you are a regular bar or venue).
Boooo.

It was really fun, even when I froze my wang walking back.
