summer hightailin
Mar. 30th, 2007 12:28 pm I turned in my thesis yesterday and the feeling of freedom is starting to wash over me...all I want to do is grill on the patio, sit around with a margarita, get back on the bike, get out of town.
I'm calendaring some plans to go to Chicago the weekend after graduation. (suggestions? neighborhoods? as always, vintage/thrift shopping and dive eateries are top priority. Also, amazing weird shit.)
I figure I'll need a vacation after my folks are here for four days. Also, flights to Chicago are like $60 each way and to Pittsburgh are only $40! It's kind of crazy when the flight is the same cost as the car service to the airport. It also makes me feel better about my Pittsburgh compound plan.
However, I am also tempted to go to Puerto Rico for $200 r/t. I have never been to any kind of beachy island!
And, I am super-psyched for Pawling, natch.
Somehow in the middle of all this I am supposed to get a job, too. Huh.

Date: 2007-03-30 06:38 pm (UTC)I was just in Chicago and recommend thrift shopping on Clark St. in Lake View. Try the shop "Disgraceland."
Is that photo of Kate's Joint in Brooklyn or Manhattan? I can't deal with the deliciousness!
