Listing things on Ebay. Takes forever. Fingers freezing off!

At some point today I was supposed to rest and get better, but the medication keeps me hopping from room to room trying to accomplish stuff.

1) hung closet light
2) fed self chicken soup
3) photographed 800 million things for Ebay

Tonight I am going to a garage rock night in a bar with WC and his insane friend Bazooka Joe from Las Vegas.

Last night I saw Quadrophenia, which was kind of dumb, because they never explained what the deal is with Mods. I got Rockers okay, but didn't understand what Mods are about. New clothes? I had it explained to me that they are working-class, but trying to dress nice and break away from their roots. But then instead of being upwardly mobile, they kind of have a punk attitude/mob rule thing going on.

I hear ya! I developed an html template in Dreamweaver and I just replace parts with applicable information. That way I dont have to keep dealing with the shipping and payment info on each auction!

Mods = yet another subcultural uniform style.

it seems nearly every music/cultural scene will claim to have some sort of shared sociological worldview or idealogy, but that always seems to be less important than the hair and clothes...

and hey, at least they look less silly than goths or ravers. and being mod-punk at least means you bathe and probably wear clean underwear.

I have to admit I like their style, if not the ideology.

And it was funny how much the kids in the movie looked like the kids on the street today! Those haircuts!

honestly, even back in highschool i tended to lean more to the mod side of punk... although i did have a few embarrassingly industrial years.

personally, i tend to favor people who have managed to evolve more personal styles as opposed to wearing rigid scene uniforms.
