What the hell is wrong with these people? It reminds me of the shit in florida and new orleans where they're trying to shut down clubs which play techno under a severe bastardization of the "crackhouse law". People don't seem to understand that trouble starts when people don't have any safe places to go play.
honestly, it seems to be that these events are publicized heavily, and when that happens, people find out. thus, not really underground anymore. it's almost an invite for trouble. a friend of mine works for a club in nyc. the owner of the club reports all the events he finds out about to the police. true. the bigger the party, the more competition he feels. which is ridiculous, because the crowds are completely different.
in order to continue the tradition of the underground scene, everyone will need to keep the word of mouth, telephone call & flyer handout ONLY policy... hard as hell in the modern email & internet announcement world. when the mass populace & bohemian thrill seekers arrive at the party, it's pushing on mainstream, which means you can get busted, with ease. sad & true.
