Surprise birthday in fort made by Jean out of his blanket and some other stuff in the living room. The theme was red, with spaghetti and red wine and red friends. I was really surprised and touched. Drinking in bars with Jen (continues to every other month).
February: Moved and demolished Flux Brooklyn with sledgehammers.
March: Started bartending and square dancing for the circus, and adopted Sara Valentine as all-around punk older sister.
April and May: More of the same, but in springtime. Finally sat down my young man and had the talk.
June July August: (I'm rushing now, huh?) Unemployed. Hung around Flux too much in the stifling heat with Alice-Mary. Had Rosin Coven over for a week and had Dark Days of Summer Festival. Watched old movies and slept in. Took a trip to Ithaca and some day trips to the drive-in in Warwick. Went to job interviews, procured job in August. Blew savings on last-minute trip to Burning Man, with mixed emotions.
September October: Settled into new job. Pretty depressed and clingy. Didn't even want to go out on Halloween. I blame the pills. Also parties are different now that I have been to 800 million, and it seems way harder to start them. I still like working at them though.
November December: Holidays, some Flux togetherness whilst I began to look elsewhere. Found something right away that needed jumping on. Very recently made some new friends and rekindled some old ones that had atrophied in my seclusion. Am missing my young man a lot -- there seem to be a lot of countdowns right now.
