Jan. 10th, 2003 04:12 pmExpanding the Ebay empire. If any of you are interested in platform shoes or boots, this is your moment. Diesel jeans and some good skirts too.
Went to the Beehive this morning (by morning I mean 1 p.m.) and now I am the proud owner of a crazy chopped bangs hairstyle. She goes "How do you like it?" and I go "Uh, uh, I don't know." It looked really extreme at first. But now I'm into it.
Also, to enhance the salon experience, they have got a very tiny kitten named Senor who jumps into your bag and climbs on your foot while you get your hair cut. Aces.
And? I got my first govt. check today; the heat is off to support myself.
After an inspirational visit to a little store last night, plus this small yet essential financial windfall, I'm seriously thinking of improving myself sewing-skills wise. Now is the time. But no more fucking around making experimental shit that never turns out right and I end up embarrassedly hiding it under a pile of fabric. That's right, I am going to start using patterns. I looked at FIT's classes and all the good ones (I think I need Ladies Tailoring 101) are for credit and run about $300. Which is possible, if I can figure out what exactly to do with it afterward.
I also looked at the Aveda school of hair-cutting -- they won't tell you what the tuition is unless you go in, which means steep. But I'd love to travel around to people's houses or whatever and cut their hair and make them feel prettier and have business cards and all.

Date: 2003-01-13 10:08 am (UTC)it's really easy, I just went over there and went to the registrar (in the B building) and signed up for the class I wanted and then went across the hall and put $300 on my credit card.....you can sign up in person up until feb 1 without paying a late fee.
yes, the non-credit courses pretty much suck, but they are also super cheap! •
