I forgot-- I also got reunited with a lovely girl, Jenn Bleyer of Heeb Magazine, who 1) freelanced at mediabistro a long time ago, 2) is friends with my old roommate Matt Power the train-jumper, and 3) is now dating my old friend Ryan.
We ate fries and gossiped about our old boss and ran into one of her current employees in the bodega. He told us that my old friend David H., whose internship I took over at mb, is back there, doing the job that I left.
And I saw a fellow I went on a very excruciating date with years ago, on a date in the same movie as us.

What does all this add up to?
New York is a small town.

It's pretty amazing, she basically convinced Spielberg to pony up the money for it. Matt has an article in the first issue about Allen Ginsberg.

I see old dates around all thge time. But it's cool and all mutually agreed upon. Most of them went bad after the first one anyhow.

Crazy small -- within two hours of my first visit, I ran into a college friend from here in TX who, as it turned out, had graduated months before and moved up there. It turned out that she lived just two blocks from my boyfriend. Super weird.
